Youth Vision & Mission

Connect with Jesus

Find Community

Reach Others

Our mission is to invite students into an authentic and genuine relationship with Jesus. Our goal is to, through life-on-life discipleship, lessons, honest conversations, worship, relationships, games, etc., help students discover freedom and purpose that can only be found in a relationship with Jesus. We will seek to offer a safe and vulnerable environment for students to confront issues and challenges they are faced with daily, and find answers through Christ to the sexual, mental, and social questions the culture throws at them. We believe that knowing God is more than just attending church, growing up in a Christian home, or even believing He exists. Maranatha Youth desires to walk alongside students as they discover what it means to not just understand that God is real and Jesus died for their sin, but to have a personal relationship and confess that He is their personal Lord and Savior.

Scripture: Romans 10:9; Matthew 7:21-27; John 17:3

Our mission is to help students find community through the body of Christ. We aim to create a safe, vulnerable, and fun environment where students can honestly express struggles and questions, as well as find accountability and encouragement. We seek to live out James 5:16, confessing our sins and pointing each other towards Jesus, through prayer and accountability. We will aim to show love, compassion, forgiveness, and grace to one another as we push and challenge each other in our walks with Christ. Our goal is to create a culture of Christlike love and a Christ-centered community that, through discipleship, friendship, and fellowship, offers a long-lasting and deep-rooted community for the students in the Hagerstown area.

Scripture: James 5:16; Acts 2:42-47; Proverbs 27:17

Our mission is to empower our students to live in light of the Gospel and on mission in their communities, schools, and families. We will seek to push students to love and care for others, out of the overflow of love that Christ has shown them. We believe that Maranatha Youth should be a place that welcomes believers and non-believers and aims to effectively communicate and live out the Gospel in our world. We believe that the call to go and make disciples of all nations was not simply a suggestion, but a command. We, as Maranatha Youth, through discipleship, relationships, local and non-local missions trips, etc., are committed to training and equipping students to live out and share their faith with a lost world.

Scripture: 1 Peter 3:15; Matthew 28:16-20
